Ellemieke born at UC Davis

We recently moved to Sheridan CA from Auburn, so when Lyra's pre-foaling NI blood test showed some signs of incompatibility,  it did not take long to figure out that she needed to foal some where that could keep a close eye on her.  We called around and found that UC Davis would do foal watch, and make sure the foal did not nurse for the first two days.   So we loaded her fat little self up in the trailer and off to UC Davis we went.   

Lyra then spent the next two weeks in the straw filled NICU room there, under constant surveillance.   She foaled in the middle of the day, right on her due date...a lovely little filly.  She is Wander x Anton and has the hair gene from both sides.  She is a very pretty foal, and moves very well.  She is the oldest foal from this year, and likes to boss around the babies.
