Ellemieke TCF $10,000

Ellemieke TCF was born 4/20/09 at UC Davis.  We sent her mother, Lyra there because we knew she would have issues with NI,  a disorder that causes the mothers immune system to attack the foals red blood cells.  So for the first 48 hours the foal must be bottle fed, and avoid it's mothers colostrum.  That is provided by another horse with no blood type conflicts, and afterwards, baby is put back on mothers milk and all is well.  There is no lasting effect from NI.

Ellemieke has her parents very good movement, and was born with the lovely silvery/tan/black coat that matures to a very permanent black.  She has a beautiful face and neck, and will be blessed with lots of mane and tail and feathers.  She is a very social horse, loves humans above other horses and will be a delight to train.

Ellemieke.. April 2009

Me and Mom at UCDavis...they took really great care of us! I had to drink from a bottle for the first two days. Then I figured it out really quick!

First time out in pasture with Mom...I can run like the wind!

December...very cold!! Note my frosted tip mane and all the frost on the ground. Glad it warmed up.
